Hypothetically, if my house were burning down, the one thing I’d rescue from the flames (after ensuring my family was safe) is my beloved Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine. I’ve owned it for four years and sing its praises to anyone who will listen.
This sleek and dependable espresso-brewing powerhouse retails for $1,000, but Amazon is selling it right now for $800. That’s still a mighty investment. But as someone who paid full price for their device a couple of years ago, I cannot recommend its performance enough. Plus, this is a rare discount that shouldn’t go unnoticed. Shoppers are saying, “We haven’t visited Starbucks since buying this machine,” to which I say, “Wow, me too.”
Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine $800 (was $1,000) at Amazon
I honestly can’t remember the last time I visited Starbucks since splurging on this machine. Do they still have that green mermaid mascot? The Breville Barista Touch is aptly named, both for its innovative LCD control display and its coffee-brewing prowess. I have zero experience behind a coffee shop counter, but this Breville makes baristas of us all.
Using the gorgeous touchscreen interface, you can pick from five drinks, including espresso, Americano, flat white, latte, and cappuccino. You can also customize everything from grind size to extraction time and save your preferences on up to eight presets.
The machine dispenses perfect amounts of coffee into the portafilter, and after a light tamping, you simply slide it into the extractor, and in as little as 15 seconds, you’ll have a perfectly pulled shot. What I truly love about the Barista Touch is its Auto MilQ frothing system, which automatically aerates your dairy of choice into foam so thick you could stand on it.
“It has more than paid for itself, and that is including the purchase of good beans,” one shopper said. “Overall, we love the Barista Touch; it makes amazing coffee.” As a shopper with a similar experience, I can only say, “Girl, same.”
If you’re looking for an espresso machine that you’ll actually use, there are few I’d recommend as strongly as the Breville Barista Touch. It’s gotten daily use for four years straight in my kitchen and hasn’t faltered a bit since I purchased it. This espresso machine is well worth it at its full $1,000 price, but Amazon is selling it for only $800 for a limited time. Buy it and never suffer through having to overpay for coffee again.
